THE EQUIBUS
We currently have two, similar but different, horsebox layouts on our fleet. Our new 3.5t vehicles can be driven on a standard car licence (drivers 23-75 as standard). Regularly serviced and maintained, fully cleaned and sanitised before every hire, each horsebox comes with full breakdown and equine rescue cover, meaning you are as safe as you can be when hiring from EquiBus.
Our hirers always comment on how easy and economical a drive they offer, which in turn means the four-legged passengers have an equally enjoyable and relaxing journey.
Horseboxes are generally allocated on a first-come, first served basis. However, if you think one of our 'Equibuses' will tick more of your boxes, please do let us know at the point of booking.

THE BLOOMFIELDS ONE...
Regularly referred to as the 'blue bus', these horseboxes are stalled for two with a payload of 1050kg. The horse area measures 8ft in height and 9ft in length, making it one of the most spacious horseboxes of its kind. The tall H-partition and optional headboard were important features for us when selecting these vehicles, which when coupled with the lack of breast bar means these boxes are perfect for travelling any horse, but particularly those who have never travelled, are very large, or are tricky travellers.
The partition whilst strong and robust is easy to move or remove, enabling the creation of a loose box on wheels; making it equally perfect for travelling babies or mares and foals.
Further features include: Passenger-side loading, full rubber floor, roof vent, multiple opening windows, groom's access door, interior lights, and barn style top doors, saddle and bridle hooks in a separate storage area.
THE BLOOMFIELDS LEGACY S...
Again 3.5t, rear facing, two-stall horsebox, these boxes offer exactly the same drive as the Bloomfields ONE. A different horse and storage area configuration make these boxes the slightly more sophisticated sister to the 'blue bus' and perfect for days out competing. This model is fitted with a high breastbar and box in the horse area, making it perfect for those horses preferring support at their chest. This feature also creates a lot of space in the groom's area, which includes 2 x saddle rack, 2 x bridle hook, coat hooks and box seating for four, with built-in storage lockers.
The clever sliding partition mechanism means that you can swiftly create a larger area for horses that prefer more room, and for when you are tacking up.
Further features include: a payload of 1t, driver-side loading, full rubber floor, roof vent, multiple opening windows, groom's access door, interior lights, external tie rings and barn style top doors.
THE DRIVER'S SEAT
An important asset of our horseboxes is the strength of the bulkhead. You can hop into the driver's seat safe in the knowledge that the bulkhead strength exceeds the industry maximum testing capabilities.
While on your journey you can keep an eye on your cargo via the conveniently positioned dual camera system, which seamlessly switches to a reversing view for your assistance when negotiating tighter spots.
Three cab seats, air conditioning, blue tooth connectivity, dash cam recording and electric windows are also available for your comfort and safety.
